I'm after a spare battery for my 9505 (either a 'high capacity' or 'ultra high capacity').

They are bloody expensive (approx US $100 for the high capacity) so i was wondering whether anyone has sourced either cheaper OE or no-name brands?? Tried ebay but no luck

Gday Drew,
Just did a google search and found these two sites. The first one has no prices unfortunately, however may be cheaper as it is based in Oz. The battery you're after is near the bottom of the page.

The second site is based in the US and, as you mentioned before, is flogging batteries for around US$100 - plus postage no doubt.

Hope this helps,

I used BatteryRepackers

Hi Drew
you can try to call one of satellite phones dealers (re-sellers) , they may have cheaper second-hand battery but in good condition.

Hi Drew,
Try Skycomm in Brisbane, (07) 3252-1115

Be careful repacking Motorola Iridium bateries as the phone has some form of "conversation" with the battery and if that doesn't add up the battery will not charge.
