I note that the link goes to the ABC Background Briefing radio show website.
That is one of the older stories but the more current ones are in mp3 audio file format and can be downloaded to an mp3 player and played when you are ready to listen.
Now I have the Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS which also has an mp3 player and an FM transmitter so I can download Background Briefing to the Nuvi and listen to it in the car. What a device!

Yes and imagine 20 years ago if you told someone about what I just did, I took the Lat/Long from his story, put them into Mapsource, and it made the waypoint spot out on a wall on the edge of Botany Bay S33 58.669 E151 13.136 , then I put the same co-ords into Google Earth and zoomed in on the same location 19m from the
water and 6m from a wall .
Yeh the Nuvi is Fab eh works even better with two car radio's installed

Lets not forget the same technology helped all the pilots and aircraft in the 9-11 disaster.
I totally agree though its mind boogling the acuracy of these things..
