Would like to give a big thanks to Willem and Judith for their good 'ol country hospitality today.
Members Borgy, Littleborgy, my missus and myself only went for a drive to to swap Willem his plugged up Coopers for a carton of VB, (how can you drink that chit Willem?? hehe). When we got there was expecting to do the deal have a chat and leave..............
We were invited to stay for lunch.........
well told no-one leaves without having somthing to eat.
Stayed for nearly two hours, talking about travelling and life in general. I could have stayed for another few hours just listening to their yarns about where they've been and where they're going but had to leave sooner or later lol.
Looking forward to seeing yous again at Warraweena
Cheers Luke

I'll second that... Thanks Willem & Judith for your hospitality... The pizza was the best i've had in a long time. The stories were great, too... Again, thanks for making us feel welcome
Cheers, Brad

Hi to all the Borgy's
Glad you made it back to the Big Smoke OK. It too was good to meet you all and put faces to names. Hope you will be able to make use of the tyres.
Thanks for the other offers of help with parts. I do appreciate it.
VB? Yes
well...If the liquor industry had to make a living out of my drinking habits they they would go broke the day before. I suppose the VB is an 'acquired' taste. I am not a real connoiseur of beer!!!...LOL
Cheers

It's ok Willie, Des told me that he was going to bring enough donuts (or should be "doughnuts"? hahaha) to feed everybody at Warraweena in 3 weeks' time.

Not a problem Willem will have a look at the wreckers tomorrow.
The tyres are on the camper already, I did it today, the joys of owning a tyre store I suppose.
Cheers Luke

When I think of Judith and Willem and their hospitality, I think of them as a Prickly Pear ..... That lovely day when we had Prickly Pear and icecream.... just heaven.

Goerge,
We're not in a club together but if you look in the profiles of Des Lexic and Roachie you will see they are both in two different clubs.
Would be good to meet up with you sometime, at a gathering or somthing would be good
Cheers Luke

Hi each
Thanks for that - looking at your 'rigs' makes me a bit envious. Di and I only started 4x4 excursions a few years ago-I bought a '97 Triton MK diesel dual cab after writing off a Tribute on a beach at
Cape Elizabeth, YP.
Since getting it we've been fairly adventurous 'doing a lot of the Flinders
trails; the Cooper (Innaminka), Kimberly and other shorter trips. We're crossing the Simpson and then on up to
Lawn Hill and beyond this July-August. We are very self sufficient but it is good to have company at least occasionally.
My closest club is the
Blackwood one - maybe Brew 38.5 (formerly Brew69 - ha ha what happened!!!!!!!) Muddydoh and Outanbout David might read this and respond.
Happy days
George & Di

No worries George,
Sorry to learn of your loss at Cpae Elizabeth. We go there occasionally, but I make a point of NEVER going along a beach on my lonesome!!!
I often hear blokes say something like...."oh my 4x4 doesn't have all the accessories that you've got, so I probably won't qualify or 'fit' into your club" etc....
I always respond by saying that (in my case anyway), all the extras are only there on my rig to make up for my lack of driving ability....hahaha.....there really is no need to have all the gear I have; it just makes life a bit easier sometimes. I'd hate to think that anybody felt intimidated or put-off by seeing a rig with a bit of extra gear attached and then feeling inferior in any way. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most of the vehicles in our club (and most other clubs) are pretty-
well standard. It helps if the
suspension has had some work in my opinion....but the rest is just personal choice.
Cheers
Roachie
