Bought a Waeco Reverse camera for Prado (due delivery next month) and Jayco Freedom poptop.

Just interested in ins and outs of fitting the camera to vehicle and to the van.

Will not be doing it myself but at this stage am interested in where is best place to fit cameras , and the ins and outs of fitting.

The camera model no is RV- 19/F and monitor is the RV-250/LCD

Yes Vince bought them at the sale yesterday.

The placement of monitor on page 118 would be an ideal spot if available space is there on the Prado. Will have to wait and see when I get vehicle.

Main thing I was chasing was where to fit cameras on vehicle and van.

Hi Peter,
got the same car and van and had mine fitted on to the rear bumber just in line with the towball, you can still get full rear view vision all round and I get that towball 10 times out of 10, saved me a divorce and a fortune in lawyers fee's
LOL.............
best wishes & good luck,

Sorry Peter forgot to mention when its all up and running the only concern I had was when you were allmost at coupling point the camera gets so near the lens that your not sure if it will hit it, got round that by cutting a slit in a tennis ball and fitting it on to the "screw" at the top of the towball coupling on the van, you can then go all the way up to the camera lens and when the screen goes black you have got right over the coupleing ,

Dave

Hi Peter, no sorry mate I dont have one for the van just the car,as for the camera I bought it straight from the makers in Hong Kong on ebay delivered to the door for $270.00 all up {camera ,monitor, cable } half the price, as for monitor position it fitted in the "small well" in front of the auto gearstick perfectly, but would reccomend using a "command" type adhesive for sticking to the console,
hope this helps,
Dave

Thanks to all.
Have got hold of some 3M Dual Lock adhesive tape and that should do the job.

Photo below , from a post on Pradopoint, shows an excellent place to fit monitor.
DaveT, this might be an alternative for you
