Hi Folks,
I went to cv club, quartely meeting yesterday and was a offered a switch booking from another member that had things crop up. His booking was part of a cv club group booking to Burrum Heads at Hillcrest CP beginning this weekend and lasting for 2 weeks. I have to confirm the switch of booking today or decline it
I have had a look at the map. Burrum Heads seems a good way from anywhere. Have used E Yellow Pages and learned it has a Bowling Club so the Mrs could roll a few. Anyone know anything else about the place... fishing.....day trips from there...things to do.
I suppose what I am realy asking from those that know the place and having never spent no more than 4 days anywhere when touring in the caravan is "is 2 weeks at this time of year too long at Burrum ?"
Regards
SKI'er

Hi SKIer.
Burrum Heads is a great fishing spot & a good base to explore the surrounding area. The
Burrum Coast national park is worth exploring & you are within easy driving distance from
Bundaberg.
A trip to 1770 is not a bad drive either.
Vince.

Burrum Heads is also just up the track from Hervey Bay. This is quite a large place now - about 50k people I guess - and has all of the facilities of a small city. It's certainly worth a visit, particularly if you have kids in tow.
Also, you can catch the barge at Hervey Bay for a day trip (or longer if you wish) to Fraser Island.
Pretty much the whole strip from the Burrum River to River Heads (about 50k from river to river) is good fishing at this time of the year, particularly if you have (or can hire) a tinny and a few crab pots.

As everyone above has said, but also a trip around to
Rainbow Beach &
Tin Can Bay is worth it as
well!
Cheers
