Does anyone know anything about these.

They are now available in Australia. The 16.5ti is a couple of hundred dollars more than the M15000. So I'm tossing up between the two.
What is THERMOMETRIC? and what does it do?
Is it a good or a bad thing to have?
Everyone gives you the blurb but hard information is a bit more difficult to get.
Any feedback is appreciated.

I assume it just indicates the temperature of the motor so you know when it's getting close to overloading.

That's what I thought too, but the specs show 1500lb more single line pull and more importantly a much higher line speed from the 4.6hp motor at the same gearing. So assume it must spin faster (hard to imagine) or have some other magic ingredient.

They can put in a motor that draws more current and will cause more heating, if they know that the power will be cut if the temperature reaches damaging levels.

I notice the weight of this item is 63kg, that is a heavy, heavy, additional load over the front
suspension!

Yes I know but there is no warranty if I fit a lower rated winch. (it's going on the F250 Official GVM of about 4200kg)
I will be running plasma rope which I'm told will save about 30% weight.

Looks like a wank to me Troppo
Thought at first if might be a FET based solendiod pack , which can be better and is something I have played with , however I believe its just a temperature sensor.
I have one of those indoor/outdoor temp meters in my car with outdoor sensor
glued to winch outer casing.
Maybe I should inform my winch it 1500lbs stronger than it thought it was
as it was groaning a bit last week !
