Hi

Am looking for a GPS that I can use to find business locations in a car when travelling I/S but also use in the 4WD on tracks. AND take with you if you go off walking. It seems that the 3 are not all that compatable but Garmin Quest seems interesting. Any comments or alternatives appreciated. I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

thanks

yers, the Garmin Quest will do all you are looking for.
I have the Garmin 276C which is next level up and has a larger screen, and City Navigator Australia V6 software.
It will display businesses by name, provided that business had listed with Mapsource.

The Nuvi range you could take walking but it does not store tracks and routes,
The Map 276C is to large to carry in a shirt pocket,
Quest has a smaller screen but thre text can be enlarged, it will fit in your shirt pocket with antenna facing out and will record your pace, do button up so when bending over it won't fall out

Magellan explorist XL has the best set of tracks by far, it is theirs, not Whereis, which only has some tracks.

For finding business you would also need the street by street software. The user interface is not as nice as say Tom Tom but as a 3 way combination ( Wlaking is 3rd) there is not much that comes close.
