Popped up for a poke around this weekend.
Settlers Road is in a sticky way, but still passable in a game 2wd car.
Wollombi Road is closed, but reliable sources tell me it's passable for access. Many sections show serious flood damage with trees down and landslips, floods often ripping the gravel away to reveal bedrock in all its imperfection.
Mt Simpson track is about to be closed to local traffic only (via locked gates being erected) so access to Finchley trig, etc will be via Boree Track.
Yango
Creek Road is apparently heavily flood damaged, but passable in a 4WD.
Watagan Forest Drive is blocked from the south before Cooranbong turnoff and campsites, with much of the road slow going with barely cleared trees littering the road.
So now you know...

GDAy. All these roads should be avoided for a couple of weeks at least as there has been and will be severe erosion due to bad weather. We need to be mindfull as 4wd drivers of the fact that we can cause real problems in heavily used areas like the wattagans in bad weather. It is an adventure for us but a pain in
the neck for an ambo or firie if they have to respond to an emergency on what is a normal road cut up by some unthinking individual out to "Prove Himself" We get a hard time allready from the 'Pedestrian Council" types. Sleep in and have a breakfast of bacon and eggs. You never know, you may get lucky. Think about taking the bride out to lunch in a flash restaurant, and maybe open a stubbie instead. There are plenty of days where the sun shines and the fourby is not going to damage OUR REPUTATION.

Hi Tim,
Do you know when Mt Simpson Track is going to close? I had a look on the National Parks page but could not find any reference to it at all. Where did you find this info?
Thanks, Jenny.

The info was posted on ink-jetted notices near the new barriers. These barriers have been installed at either end of the houses just off the roadway. The notices were absent of the NPWS logo, phone number, authority or similar, so may
well be a surreptitious attempt to illegally close a gazetted road.
Anyone know the legal perspective here - ie, if it has been illegally blocked, can all reasonable attempts be made to clear the obstruction?
