talking to an old bushy today about what he does to keep active while out by himself, he said amongst other things he carves animal bones while sitting around the fire and then sells them at local markets. this got me thinking about ivory, and when it was last aloud into Australia legally. does anyone know.

Trade in African ivory was banned under CITES in 1989 but
changes are likely
