Hi
Have a TD 78 Troopy, looking into Diesel Gas, anyone had it fitted in Adelaide? Went to DieselGasAustralia at Kilburn,(spoken to them twice) still waiting for a quote a month latter!!. If they don't have time to give me a quote what will the job be like!!!
Thanks Lyndon

I know a bloke who had it done to his 100 LC and has since taken it off due to rising consumption (around 25lt/100km). I dont know who installed it, he lives at Happy Valley so maybe someone down there.

My mechanic thinks the system is still in its early and untried stage so there a few bugs that need ironing out, a bit like LPG was when it was first intoduced.

Cheers Chard.

I'm a bit conservative, and tend to think that playing around with diesel-gas on a 1HD-FTE might be ruining a very good engine.
I think Chard has a good point - this stuff is relaively new and untried.

Lyndon, had my 99 TD Jack put on LPG a few weeks ago. The guys at Kilburn are VERY busy, maybe too busy, but the job they did was professional and their follow up customer service is good.

We only just got the settings right (complicated by incorrect guage readings) but it now does everything they say it will do, except I think the financial savings are at the lower end of the benefit spectrum and you would need to do probably 70-80000 kms to recoup costs (out of pocket after rebate in SA), but as far as extra power/torque/range/cleaner burning/ease of driving the gas addition is great. Just finished 3000 kms of towing 1000 kg camper and it made a huge difference. Only problem was that we were remote for a while and no LPG was available at Arkaroola/Innamincka/Cameron Corner etc.
