I am about to order a new van (Regent 16ft ) with some features for occasional off/dirt road use ie 16in O/R wheels & 4in raisers plus creature comforts for outback camping such as external shower & HWS etc. Is it advisable to get shock absorbers fitted to a single 1800kg axle with leaf springs. Could not afford to get "off-road " version with independent suspension. Not yet sure how much dirt roads will be on the agenda but for a modest outlay I can get the shocks fitted now if it will be an advantage.

ALWAYS an advantage to have shocks !!!

Why not delete the outside shower and get the offroad version ??

No seriously...which is more important ??

When we are on our own, we get out the $20 battery powered shower and bucket and wash each other !! Saves water and sometimes sets a scene for other things.......lol..lol
