Hi all,
Has anyone driven the track through Messent National
Park (SA)?
It is a short diversion I am considering between coming out of the Southern end of the
Border Track and headind down to Salt
Creek (Coorong) for some Salmon fishing.
Just wondering if it is worth the bother, would just be driving through.
Anyone done it?
Thanks in advance
Trev

The track system follows the boundry (fire break) and two tracks that run diagonally from the NW to SE corners of the
park. No challenging driving just dry lake beds with heather and timbered sand ridges. It is part of a route I use to go from just south of
Wellington to Salt
Creek with out travelling on the black top. Mostly just a a pleasant track to avoid the highway idiots
