Is that 80km or 80 000km? If it is 80km as written then there are some big issues there and surprised Nissan wouldn't warranty that? If it is 80 000km I would be surprised if any manufacturer would cover the clutch after 80 000km?

whyallacookie,

I agree and as I said, you would be very lucky to find any car manufacturer that would cover a clutch after 80000km.........Maybe if the km where a lot less....

80 000 K's for a truck is about 160 days...less than half a year...not very good value, I would say.

To be honest bit hard a call after 80.000 klms he wants a new clutch ... whats his warranty say, and no offence meant .... but nissen only has his word how he drives.

I do understand the grief and $$$ it will be to replace the clutch and I will also say 80000 is not a lot of klm and I would also have expected a lot lot more.

I would have also expected some warning signs that something was amiss with the clutch and not just destroy itself all of a sudden.

Personally from all accounts nissen and warranty are not something used in the same sentence from what i have read hereabouts. From all the bad reports I have heard about nissen I have no intention of ever owning one, which is a shame as there are i'm sure many that don't have problems but I personally would not take the risk.

Hope all works out.
