G'day all,
I routinely manage to get about one photo uploaded for every 15 attempts. Very frustrating and time consuming. I've tried different times of the day and holding my tongue differently, also tried a couple of emails to ExplorOz - all without success. Anybody able to help out this technically incompetent individual?!
Cheers

One thing to check is the size of the pic. If it's to big it can just go into cyberspace leaving you wondering.

John,
I had similar problems so have now use a program called Picasa 2 to resize my photos for web posting and it now seems to work okay. Picasa is free to use - just Google for it. Also I find it relatively easier to use and stress free.
I resize my photos to 640 x 480 (I think that is correct) which is apparently the optimum size for use on the web.
There are other programs that do the same so have a look around, Photobucket is one I think.

Thanks Karl and Willem
I'll follow up on that. Interesting tho' that when I first set up my member's page, uploading photos was successful every time. It has only been as I've deleted old photos and tried to add new ones that the problem has occurred. My camera hasn't changed (but I've got older).
Cheers

I have found the same problem. When I try to upload new photos sometimes it works other times it doesn't.There was a automatic resize but don't know if this is still the case.
Cheers Dave...

Some of my photo's are up to 750 X 550 Px , you can resize the photo's by using your favorite Photo editing software, keep the ones you want to add to EO in a separate folder , then click on in sequence
My Home / Upload Photo / use Browse to find it / select it/ add some text , Upload/ ....and damn it, your not holding the tongue quite right ...

Try Microsoft Powertoys , it has heaps of additional programs that can be downloaded individually for XP users only. One of which is IMAGE RESIZER. It allows you to resize in all common resolutions. 640x480, 800x600 ETC even for Palm units. You can resize one file at a time or multiple files. Very handy and easy to use. If you have never used it before you may wonder where the program is after you install it. Once installed you select a file (pic) and right click to display properties, in the list will be RESIZE.
