It seems there is a lot of disapproval at peoples service outlet in reguard to thier respective service and I guess in some cases proberly justified.
So on that note I will have one for the other side. Once again I have had my vehicle serviced which is done every 10000 max and always before a big trip. Sometimes I do the oils and filters myself but as I'm heading off next week get the pro's to give it a run over and I was told last time I would need the brakes done.
Well just got it back and they checked everything ran the spanners over all the nuts and bolts checked bushers, rubbers, greased everything found the air con belt was near cut through, replaced it, also found valve stem in tyre was perrishing and tyre (rear) was down to 20psi fixed that (ticked a bit about that one got two new tyres yesterday and asked tyre place to check all tyres).
Told brakes are fine and not required to be replaced yet and will do the trip no problems. All up $160.00 which I felt was fair inclusive of all parts. So I'm very happy with L&D Autos at Kelvin Grove.
And NO I do not work there or related to or anything else ....... they are just the mechenics keep using. They simple give good service :)
As they say if your on a good thing stick to it.

Hi Brian....I agree about if you are on to a good thing stick to it. We had a great mechanic in
Gladstone QLD (Gary Lenz Mechanical) who was very honest and did a great job. We were quoted $800 from Toyota to do a major service went to Gary and he said $750, we went to pick it up from him after the service the price was $580 as there were a few things they didn't have to replace because they were in good order - very honest I would say.
Now we are travelling OZ we have found many very bad mechanics and we now wish we could have packed Gary up and taken him with us!!!

I took my Pajero into Melville Mitsubishi for the first time this week, just for little jobs. The headlights needed adjusting, the rear
seat wouldn't fold properly, and I needed a remote locker thingy I bought on eBay coded. They provided transport to work (3kms) and collected me after work.
When I picked it up all jobs were done, plus they checked and adjusted the coolant concentration. The only charge was for coding the remote locker. Everything else, including the coolant used, was free.
I was amazed.
I have always avoided main agents like the plague but I will go here again, one small step at a time though, this could be a trap!
