Hi guys,
Just a quick question.
I have a V8 LC100 and I'm about to install a duel battery kit this weekend.
Can you recommend the minimum size for the 2nd battery I should consider.
Thanks in advance.

CraigB,
it depends. More info required. What are you going to use it for, run off it, for how long, do you have a winch etc etc. There about 3 million different batteries out there ranging from 100bucks to about 600 bucks for an AGM and almost everyone on this
forum will have slightly ideas and opinions.
The first thing you need is an idea of what you want to do with it.

Hi Toytruck,
Thanks for your assistance.
I will have a 9000lb winch installed next week and I already have a Waeco 50ltr fridge.
Price is not so much an issue so long as it's in the relms of reality.
Just for
camping mainly for 1-3 nights in the same spot to run the frige and a work light I have on the rear wheel carrier.
I currently have a Waeco "Urban" portable fridge battery that hasn't been too bad so far for the fridge.

Hi Craig
It would depend on the kit. Some kits only allow for a 12 inch battery so this would be a N70 size (306mm). If this is the case I would recommend the MRV70 All-Rounder which is a dual purpose battery in a N70 case. It has 105 a/h and 760 cca. It is avialable from any SuperCharge Battery outlet by calling 1300 BATTERY.
If your kit allows for a 13 inch battery you can then look at a AGM battery. In this case I would use a 100 a/h sealed AGM battery.
The picture below is the Sidewinder battery kit with a 100 a/h AGM.
Regards
Derek.

Hi Derek,
Thanks very much for the info.
I thought it would be best to go for the larger one so I've got the 13 inch kit.
I just have to relocate the power steering reservoir first.
Any idea on approx. how much $$ for a reasonable quality battery such as the one you have suggested?

Where do you get the sidewinder battery kit from, and approx how much does it cost.
Cheers
PS where does the power steering reservoir go?

Both battery and kit are available on the ABR - Sidewinder website.
