G'day,
I have a troopy (1HZ motor) and for the past 2 weeks, a hissing noise has developed at the front of the engine. Sounds like like around the fuel injection pump (but I do not know yet where the vacuum pump is so it could be that). The hissing noise is intermittent and changes with the revs. Anybody had a similar noise and can point me in the right direction?
Cheers,
Didier.

It's not a loose air hose is it?

That's what I am thinking about. Will check at the weekend. The vacuum pump is in the area the noise seems to come from. Cheers.

Checked the vacuum pump and I cannot see anything wrong. However, the main vacuum line is not in good shape (rubber nearly perished) so I will replace it. Of cause, could not get the hissing noise to happen ;-)
