I have been working on an update to the weather system after reading a post earlier this week. (Yes it was me that crashed the system for about 30 mins - Sorry). Anyway - the WA reports in the weather system now include current observation's as well as extended information in the forecasts and averages.

See the Perth Metro info for an example: Site Link

It is all a WIP (Work In Progress) and will be rolled out to the rest of the states ASAP. Interesting that the WA info I used to model the update is stored differently to all other states and regions on the BOM site and I being silly coded the whole WA system up and realised it would not work for the rest - happy (NOT), so a re-write of the re-write is pending....

Have a good one.

Sorry to inform you David, WA is not the be all to end all in Aust. All states have their own ideas...

Yeah that is true however I looked at the WA report and write it then looked at the other only to find the WA was behind and the report I used was on the way out - So in this case WA was a little behind in maintenance. They don't call us Wait Awhile for nothing you know, and it is just the way we like it expect when we are programming.......

OK now I can go to bed also - I have just rebuild the Weather interface and the system now extract current observations for around 897 stations around the country - you can even get the current weather in Birdsville Site Link or Oodnadatta Site Link and heaps and heap of other locations. More will be installed in this system in time.
