Some time ago there were a lot of answers to a question about using shade cloth as annex matting. We use shade cloth under our camper trailer tent and was using the rubber like matting for our annex. We came across the best option at a camping show earlier this year. They are costly. The one we have has been put to the test in the dusty and wet conditions. The dust and dirt doesn't come up through it. In extremely wet conditions. Admittedly the ground was very sloped, the water ran under it. When stepped on.. there was a wet patch, but no mud or sand. We are very pleased. The better products out there are worth it if you can afford it.

It's probaly C Gear double layer matting. Go to web site.
It works as explained. I bought 1 at the last show at Caulfeild and it is not cheap, but we are very pleased with performance. It doesn't get dirty like the rubber matting and would be less than half it's weight.

What is the name of this matting? We saw some at the Caravan and camping show a couple of months ago costing a few hundred $. (size for an 18ft caravan).
Carmec carry it. Would this be the same or are we talking another type.

Cheers

C Gear, sizes and prices on web site.
It's a top product.
You get what you pay for. The eyelets around the perimeter give a lot of versatility.

Harry's reply is correct. It's CGEAR outdoor. The product is well worth it. It's one of the best investments for camping we have made.

We normally use only 2 1.5m x2m bits of the rubberised matting you get from Camec etc.. that works fine for use it's non slip and when you get older you seem to get a little less steady on the pegs...We just purchased a small CGear mat
www.cgear.com/default.htm haven't used it yet but its pretty much the same as shadecloth with eyelets as far as I can see, but we'll test it out in the next few weeks as we head acroos the Great Central Road into outback WA. Here is another matting that maybe of interest www.enduromatmate.com.au/default.asp
