Hey guys,

When you get a log book service and they just change the oil/filter and check a number of things is there anything they can do to check the ECU, EGR, MAF, Turbo Boost etc etc?

I just want to know if they can hook it up to their computers and see these items are all operating as per the day it left the factory or do they need adjusting or are they on their way out?
Especially as I have 1.5 yrs left of the extended warranty I want to ensure that I dont have to pay for anything I dont have to.

Cheers

things like the egr-ecu-map-maf ect either work or they dont.
you could plug in the scanner and they will show up with nothing but then pack it in around the corner from the serviceing place.
usually if theres a fault the engine light will come on then leave a message on the computer.
cheers

Earlier this year I took my 3 Ltr Patrol to the local Nissan dealer (rang up first and the fitted me in) and the "technician" hooked up his hand held gizmo and did various checks while the engine was running. It gave a printout of the results and all was good. Took less than 10 minutes.
