Hi all,
were off shortly dept
Perth for Pt
Augusta then the Flinders, Gammon and
Gawler ranges. ;-)
Were planning a quick trip across the Nulla, any sugestions on wether to
free camp along the way (we do like being out on our own) or aim for the towns (such as they are)
Looking at 2 stops, was going to wing it, but its always nice to hear the sugestions of this illustrious group.
Also if there are any MUST sees along the way please point them out
Rgds

Hi Noldi
One place on Nullar that is must see is
Eyre Bird Observatory and Old Telegraph Station (same place). You can sleep over there. You will find this place absolutely beautiful and people running Old Telegraph Station fantastic kind of people you always hear about ……the old school kind…. very dedicated to their work and doing it with love.
You love it if you love nature.

If you are going into the
Gawler Ranges you had better check your map before you get to Wirilla (east of
Ceduna ).
Long way to come back form Pt
Augusta!
Go nth at Wirilla and come out at
Iron Knob.
Great scenery thro here and should be reasonable dirt roads.
Try and do some research b 4 you get there is the
Gawler Ranges NP on the south side.

just some local advice. I would plan to spend more time in the Flinders than the
Gawler. Could easily see all the
Gawler ranges in 2-3 days (I was quite dissapointed with it), but you will love the Flinders. Lots to see and do there and lots of off roading.
enjoy our back yard!
