probs with my perjero 2000 nm gls

G'day John,
This is a common problem with the Paj.
It can be bloody frustrating sometimes trying to get it in and out of 4 wheel drive.
If it won't play the game, switch off the engine, move the gear shift to the desired location and then switch on the engine.
I had an NM with the same problem.
This probelm is even noted in the hand book.

Yep we've also got an NM and also have the problem. Jolly annoying, especially in a convoy when the call comes to activate and everyone else does "it" in seconds and we are still shifting levers, turning car off/on, rocking back and forwards (car first then me....) etc etc.
Always works eventually.
I find that the first time into HLC or LLC after a long period with no 4WD (like weeks) it is a drama but once it gets used to it or something then it is uasually OK for the day. I now make sure that if I think I will need LLC during the days trip I let the vehicle practice before setting off.
