Having a few hoses ECT shipped over from the U.S for the Explorer, along with a new set of Torsion bars after my search for a set of after market ones down hear failed.
Got the shipping cost and all that, as per normal I just get it sent U.S air mail, until I herd today, sorry due to the shape/ weight of the Items (Torsion bars) we won’t handle them. So now have to send it with UPS expedited and Now freight only is US$385 up from $AU$235 for the lot delivered, the bars are only worth US$100 for Christ sake, LOL
Then this afternoon
I was talking to my mate and told him about it and he was like yep Sucks
hay, but how’s this, the fright an my Rear locker and front D40 axle assembly and locker for the Wrangler cost’s the same as a Flight to Utah.
So All of a sudden my little shipping debarkel didn’t seem so big LOL.

Get it sent USPS surface, might take a bit longer to get here, but a lot cheaper

You must be pretty cheesed off with the freight cost increase. It's
well known that freight/postage from the USA to International destinations is one of the most expensive around. Should serve as a fair warning to all those who might consider buying weighty/bulky items from over there.

Yeah annoyed but I still know it's cheaper than buying the stuff hear.
I have got a bit of Auto Stuff from the U.S, but most of it has fitted in you averaged sized box and freight has normally not been to bad, I think it was just the Bars as they are long and have a bit of weight to em that thou it out.
I look at it like, To buy all the stuff i just orderd in Aus would cost me around $400 more so i am still better off.

If it makes you feel any better UPS are not doing surface mail to Australia anymore. You have three choices of airmail. I'm not sure what the situation is as I am still looking into it. Cheers
