Depends a little on which version. But no matter what, you'll need to go to the oziexplorer website, australian page to get the calibration files for the raster maps.

In Ozi, go to File - Import Map - ECW Maps then browse to where the raster map files are (CD, DVD, or HDD)

Hello - yes this will work and calibration will be correct but keep in mind corner markers will not be in correct position. The maps in question have white borders and OziExplorer will think these areas are part of the actual map…unless corner markers are moved to actual map corners. Doesn’t make much difference when sitting inside using OE but it is important to have corner markers in correct position when using Moving Map so that adjoining maps are loaded as you move on to them.

The calibration (*.map) files available for download (as suggested by Glen) are therefore the best option as the corner markers have been positioned in correct location by some kind hearted soul. Just make sure you download the right ones for the series of maps you have.

Cheers
Greg

Hi Greg

Thanks for that. I use the 250K Mosaic which has no edges (not on land anyway!) so wasn't aware of the potential problem.

Yes - so do I - much easier than separate maps. Corner marker issues and getting right calibration files are a common solution to many problems reported on forums relating to natmap/oziexplorer so spread the word.
