Hi, TG, when we went to the West in 04, we found that Eucla, Norsman, all around the bottom etc the TV worked well with just the white plastic "T" antenna, most of the time we just used it in side the van , most places relay 3 or 4 channels local , only in Albany we had to use the booster ( the park was in a hollow) to get Win 9 as good, all the others were OK.
Up as far as Kalbarri no problems , going again for August 07 and hope it will be the same.
Cheers Des.

Hi, Actually it came with the van , but you can buy them at the local caravan & camping shop here for about $35.00, but I made one for my camper, just bought some plastic conduit ( thicker than water pipe) a "T" piece, and 750mm of 12mm aliminium tube and a Balen ( to connect the wire to) , ( and 2 end caps), you just make a "T" using the pipe and "T" piece, put the Aliminium thru the top of the "T" and PK screw the Balen arms , thru the top of the "T" into the tube in side and put some foam around the ends of the aliminium tube, (to stop in moving) then put on the caps , no need to glue any of it.
I bought a screw water joiner as that is what was on the side of the van.
I think the lot was about $20 odd, but I like to make things myself.
Cheers Des,

Hi kimprado

I bought one of these from Jaycar Electronics and it is brilliant!!!!!!! I bought a flat panel telly too and used them at Waterloo in S.A on the side of a low hill - miles from anywhere - look it up on Googlearth. The reception was:

digital quality on 9
very very good on 7
Excellent on 10
poor on ABC (2)

Can't recommend it enough - I put mine on top of some demountable gazebo legs that I can take apart and put in the car easilly - I then lashed it to the front of the car/bull bar to it about 9ft in the air. You have to connect 12v DC to it but this is no problem obviously - it draws a very small current. It also comes with a very long antenna lead too. It's weatherproof.

Happy days
