Planning a run from Mildura to Mungo NP. Then Poncarie to Menindie Lakes and on to Wilcania.
If you're in the area, or have been there in the past few days, I'd appreciate an update on road conditions, specifically the access to Mungo ..and the dirt roads ether sde of Menindie Lakes.

Ah Smudger, Menindee to Wilcania brings back memories - of mud. Take a look in Places under that heading and you'll see the greasepit it can become. But was at Menindee Lakes in April and track around main lake (totally dry) was quite sandy and should be able to take more rain than the Menindee to Wilcannia road. Cheers, Warrie

Smudger, the Arumpo road from Buronga to Mungo is usually a shocker, but as of a couple of weeks ago I heard from a local at Pooncarie that it was good at the moment.
But there are trucks going out to a mine along there near Mungo and they chop up the road. So, I would suggest that it might be a bit corrugated by the time you go.
The road Pooncarie to Menindee has been closed recently but is open now.
Not sure if the grader has been along there though.
It's only 120kms and not likely to be too bad over most of it.
The east side of the river Menindee to Wilcannia is usually the best side to travel.
