Hi Folks

Can anyone tell me how much valve saver fluid l should be going through on a 4.Lt DA Maverick (or GQ Patrol), I was hoping someone could help me out as there is no LPG Specialist in Broome as far as I can find, I was told approximately 50ml per tank (100Lt) but I appear to be going through nearly 300 per tank.
Thanks in Advance for any input.

Matt

Hi Matt,

The recommended dosage using the Valve Saver kit is one drop per 12 seconds. This is according to the manufacturer.

The recommended dosage is 12 drops per minute, which works out
to be about 1 drop per 5 seconds....

Godlike Chef

I have a 99 Prado, and was advised about 50ml per tank. There shoudl be an adjustment on top of the Vale Saver Bottle, next to the window thru which the fluid drips (don't think that is the technical name?). A small easily adjust thumbscrew.

With the engine idling, you can adjust the flow of the fluid. Mines works out at about 1 drip per 2 secs. Worth playing with until you get it close.

I managed to knock mine last week end, and used half the bottle. Knew something was amiss as i had a great cloud of smoke everytime i started up. Slight adjustment an all is well.

Good luck

Diesel is also a good hydrocarbon to use, but re-adjustment of drip rate is necessary due to thinner consistancy...these are not the b all and end all but do help the lpg runner motor..for instance, there is more mnifold vacuum at idle than at coast, where you need the oil most....so you are better off using cheaper oil and more of it :)
