Slightly off topic but I am looking to buy a second-hand small petrol 2WD ute to commute to and from work (650km round trip), and am looking at either a Toyota Hilux or Mazda Bravo. For the same amount of ute the Mazda's seem to be cheaper, are they not as good as the Toyota Hilux utes, or would I simply be paying extra for Toyota badge?
Also are there any practical problems with mounting spotlights (4 x Lightforce 240's) above the roof of a vehicle?
Thanks in Advance
Snowy

The spotlights would depend on the local reg's in your state.
I have a family friend who drives about 150k's each day round trip to work, he bought a diesel bravo for the economy and has had no dramas, but in saying that you hear a lot of people whinge about the gearbox's etc in them too. I suppose if you treat it right it'll be ok. You can't go past the ol' hilux for reliability though.
