I know it's been covered before........but trying to post pictures into a post is just too convoluted to be useful. See thread 47209

Is it a case of Pics not really being wanted in posts because of server space or bandwidth issues in pages loading?

If this is not the case, surely there is a better, simpler, quicker way.

I appreciate posts can get infested with irrelevant pics, but often a picture tells a thousand words! It would save a lot of key strokes!

Posting a photo in EO is very simple, providing the said photo is not too big , you should be able to go anywhere on the internet , select a photo and post it on EO

Not necesarily the case Doug....

Some sites (this included i believe) may not show the directory to some images as a simple process and this site will not recognise it as an image.....hence the "site link" added.

As an example, let's see what happens with a members picture as described using the "img src" code below:

===> The image source cannot be processed....please adjust your entry and try again....or words to that affect.

Agreed Andrew. Technology is supposed to make things easy. We should be able to just right click on a photo and 'save' or 'copy' then just 'paste' in the text.

Doug, saying "it's easy, watch me do it", doesn't explain much.

Andrew,
Send me the URL of the file and I will tell you what is happening.

I am re-writing the whole support for iimages in the next few months anyway but I would like to see what the system is complaining.

David, I'm not sure if my facts are correct, hence my posting.

On second thoughts about this site....i may be wrong. I can't find where i had this problem now. Sorry for the confusion.
