Has anyone camped at Mainwater
Creek in the Gammons and can tell us what it is like. And what the
creek is like to walk up into the pound.

Geez you are asking all the hard questions this morning.
I have found Mainwater
Well and realised I have been there. But its was a while ago. Thgere would be some shade under gumtrees I believe. The tracks in that area are slow going but not difficult.

Are you talking about
Wilpena Pound? If so it is a nice slow gradual walk up to the rim. There may even be some
rock pools with
water due to recent rains.
Cheers

Willem again! Walking west into Mainwater pound I was thinking of Willem. Have looked into it from the North, looked into it last year after we tried to walk to bunyip Chasm but ended up on Mt John Roberts when we chickened out of a climb. Thought I might try another way.
