Hi
My other rig is a 88 hilux 2.8 diesel and the warning lights stay on after starting. Once revs go above 3000 they go out and then come back on when the revs get down to 1200. Any ideas
where to start looking, the lights are battery,t-belt and moisture.

Yep. one hundred percent right. Happend to me on GRR some years ago in my 89' hilux. Only did it the once then not again till 2 weeks later on our way to alice on the Tanami at night when the lights started to dim. Got to Tillmoth roadhouse with no lights at all at 5am. Sun just coming over horizon, got into alice on a sunday morning and found a auto electrician open and changed the brushes.

Yep definately start with your alternator, Check your charge rate at idle and compare when the engine is reved. Brushes, regulator or diodes faulty.
Cheers
