Barbara,

Is Youdales hut in the Oxley Wild Rivers NP. If so I am thinking of going there next week. I usually tow a camper but we are staying at a farmstay so I will be going in with just the car.

I will check it out and let you know what I think. I have taken my Trak Shak many places where people said I shouldn't so I am not easily disuaded from taking the folding palace where I want to go. Having said that I have never had a major problem.

Hi Barbara

When you book Youdales you will probably find that campers or trailers will not be allowed. The track into the campground is steep and if wet very slippery. Apparently a bad accident occurred after a camper had jacknifed and caused a tragedy. We used to visit Youdales before the national sparks and wildfires closed it to ordinary folk. Now you need to pay camping/visitor fees before you can enter. Youdales is topographically closer to Port Macquarie than Walcha but you have to access and return key to the entrance gate from Walca office. We are being denied access to a lot of places in this region because of government decision to prevent us from enjoying the bush. My question to all the shiny arsed bureaucrats is to whom are you saving it for.

Regards
