G'day all, thought I'd give you an update for the GJR, the first leg till
Kintore in rough & corrugated, after
Kintore it get's better the further west you get, till you reach the Punmu community, after there it is terrible till you get to near the
airstrip East of the Telfer
mine, from then on it's a breeze. Road is good enough to travel at 80 for the most part, we spent most of the time between 60 to 80, in fact we were past by a number of loaded 4wd's which were in a bigger hurry than us.
1st night was spent just East of the Willie
rock hole, 2nd night was between Jupiter
well & the
Gary Junction, 3rd night was near the
airstrip East of the Telfer
mine Rd, 4 days is more than enough to reach
Marble Bar. Thanks to those who gave me any info for this trip.
Sorry but I don't have the ability to answer any questions as we are sending this from the info centre in Pt Headland & won't have internet access after this.
BTW it's 26 degrees up here ;-)))))))
