Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me if the 80 series winch bar will fit a 105 series (rigid) as the chassis are the same (as far as I know) with only the IFS chassis different.
Thanks
Tour Boy

Hi Tour Boy,
I have an ARB catalogue and price list sitting here on my desk at work. A lookup of the two vehicles lists different part numbers for winch bars from the 80 Series and the Rigid Front 100 Series.

If that is accurate the answer to your question is "No"

Thanks,
I've got a catalogue as well but I still think the chassis are the same. I'd say that the different part# is because most of the rigids have air bags and different crush zone mounts but the bars themselves are probably the same. The bars then bolt onto the mount ant then the mount to the chassis.

There is different body shape so, for instance, the ARB bars are shaped differently for that. They may still fit in a chassis mount point of view, but might not look right.

Thanks, I don't mind modifying a bit to bring it off the front of the vehicle. 80 series bars are alot cheaper and seem to be stronger.

No the 80 series bar wont fit. Not even close! Similar chassis on the solid axle 100 but certainly not the same mounting position & nowhere near wide enough. Far simpler to sell the old one & put the money towards a replacement just like the after market manufacturers want you to do ;-) The 100 series bar is alot closer to the car & is 100mm wider.

If you have the skills & tools (plasma cutter/mig) that is one mod that wouldn't be that hard to do. Very little material required so other than $250 for powder coating it again, it wouldn't be that costly.
