Folks the verdict is out, and the handbrake gave the go-ahead for me to upgrade/change the turbo on the GU.
So i dont know where to start....spose ill just call tubotech or something, but whats the best turbo? Ballbearing i heard someone say. No more than 10psi?? Boost controller....well sounds cool but what does it do and do i need one.

A couple of pointers in the right direction would be cool.
thanks in advance

fisho64,
I suspect that by now , Wayno's gonads may have been set as crab bait.
No one is admitting to anything, and I reckon that neither the Police nor Fisheries are hoping for a phone call.
Sounds very much like the recent newspaper skit on Hagar The Horrible, and his yearning for a romantic composition, is pretty well on cue.
Onya Wayno, mine are down there with yours. Sin loi.
All praise the Phoenix.

Morning fisho64,
So how's the coffee?
Is it any clearer now, or do you have specific areas of concern?
Funny thing Fisho (sorry: old habit: I still tend to use upper case wrt names.[pollies excepted])....
Another EO member commented recently that most short (and at times animated) posts come from non members.Hadn't really noticed until it was mentioned:

fisho64 (how came the name, please?), this site is possibly the best I've visited. Photos, cars, fishing, all seem to get personal and very cheap/nasty, quite quickly. But not this family. Unfortunately my name may reside in the Black Sheep folder, but I do sign by name, not 'nom de plume' or alias. Am I at risk?

As the original post was more in line with engine performance, it's best I stop.
Pleased to see another Soul on the Wagon: and may God curse Alcohol, and bless all those who starve, because their fields grow and prosper, yet the yields go unto Bio fuel.
(Buddy, pay yer money and become a member. We'll all love ya then, eh Footyl.)
'64 (Don't mind if I shorten the name, eh?), you seem ok. May meet you one day, except you'd need
FISHO64 (all lower case, of course ) clearly displayed on your unit.
Affectionately ,
Cleopatra.

Bugger them old mob ,eh psycho64: just leads to problems.
Good fishing.
Jeff.

Hi Jeff

(Buddy, pay yer money and become a member.)

Maybe some of us non members are waiting to see how many smart a....s like you are on the forum before we bother. Seems as thogh there are 90% decent respones and people on the Forum, shame you have to drag the good and helpful people down with your nasty and mindless comments.

umm???

I was asking Wayne why he wanted to change his turbo etc- and I think Jeff has confused my post with another one, or maybe (i better check!) if you read mine backwards it becomes a message from the devil (ala Stairway to Heaven?)
but Jeff, you seemed to refer to my follow-up in a special "member only" gobbledy-gook. I thought that I didnt refer to your message in an insulting or nasty way, and certainly didnt intend to. Please accept my intentions as completely honourable. If you are unable to, then get the chip off your shoulder, and get over it.

Fisho64, I am well aware of the intent of your question: am also well aware of the need to justify expenditure, as sometimes the Spouse may have different priorities.
That sentiment was the basis of my initial comment.
Your follow-up re stop drinking prompted an expansive response, to which both Big Nike and your self appear to have taken exception.
I would invite both of you blokes to run this exchange past your partners, and I suspect that a different light may be cast.
Yes fisho64, I do carry a chip on the shoulder.
It's not to do with garbage left behind, or witty 'nom-de-plumes', or fishing "green zones", or speed cameras.
It's to do with senseless killing/carnage, thanks for reminding me.

OK, now l understand that you were just kidding around, and yes I accept your apology in the spirit its intended.
For a while you had me going about the connection between me asking Wayne what the reason was for him changing his turbo, and your involvement in a senseless killing/carnage.
In the future though its probably best that you ensure that the target of your witty repartee knows you well enough to understand your sense of humour, and therefore not take it in an offensive manner. I'm sure this would apply to both members and us "blow-ins".
Can I humbly suggest that rather than you hijacking Wayne's thread in this manner, it would have been better probably for you to refer this to the sites moderators if you had thought that my question to Wayne was somehow subconcously and/or subliminally aimed at yourself (whom I don't recall ever having come in contact with here or anywhere to my knowledge) and therefore caused you to feel aggrieved or insulted?
Lets leave Waynes thread alone otherwise eh?

fisho64,
I still don't have a handle on your name, but that's fine.
Working backwards through your post, I have offered apologies to Wayne O in his subsequent post, so tick that one.(Verify the times, if you must)
Your next paragraph, beginning "May I humbly suggest..."
Hang on, time for an eloquent quote, now let's see. Hmm, this should fit:

"I think I better stop drinking now, as I cant (sic) quite get my head around that!!!!"

wrt the preceeding paragraph , my "witty repartee" is pure fantasy. As if!!
Yes, at times, I do attempt word play on this site, and those who recognise my style either reply or recoil. And I do hear your advice. So I'll promise to attempt to avoid offending all future aliens to the site.(Shhs. just whisper, fisho64, without being rude, what's the go with Alien diplomacy? How do I judge their variable sensitivities? ) Oh, never mind.
Your next reference to carnage and turbos strikes me as tenuous: but there you go.
So that brings us to your opening sentence fisho64. I was, indeed, just kidding around.
I reckon you're a good human fisho64. And although your name is futuristic, the kids are rapidly catching up.(Or at least the parent is).
Thanks for the exchange; was good. Will possibly enjoy your company at a camp sometime.
Jeff.H.
