Hi all,
well me and the beloved have been away for a month and went to
meekatharra,karajini,
tom price,
newman ,
port hedland,
broome,roebourne ,
karratha,80mile beach,
coral bay ,
exmouth ,
carnarvon,
kalbarri ,
millstream NP .
It was a fantastic trip and travelling around in the wild wild west of australia reminds me of what a fantastic country this is ,you just need to make time to go out and see it .
I must admit my favourite place in aussie is the
pilbara region because of the mining industry and the harshness of the country and the down to earth ness of the people makes a refreshing change from living in hum drum of city living .
The only dissapointment was the cost of fuel at Nunatarra at 1.71 a litre for diesel ,why is it this place never fails to be certainly one of the most expensive place in aussie for fuel.
Good luck to those about to set out on the road [im jealous ] ,ill just have to wait for our next trip next year to queensland and nsw .

Hey, good to hear you had a great trip!. I love the
pilbara as
well, one of the underrated
places in Oz. Just can't stand the name changes, always be the Hamersley Ranges to me,just like Ayers Rock. Nothing against the black fella's but once you know it by one name it's what you always think of.
Cheers Lyndon
