Just placed an order for a new Triton GLX-R TD. Found to be the better value all round. I wont start a war on if you like its looks or not ( I didnt but it quickly grew on me after seeing what else is around ). Looking back thru the posts, there are a few of you with one but wondering if there is any updated feedback good or bad ?

TJM have done an intergrated bull bar and 3/4 side bars and steps for the new model.
I have a mate with one of the 1st released ones and he loves it, upgraded fron a 99 model V6 extra cab Triton.

Enjoy

Cheers Kev

NICE ONE !

I just watched the 4WD Monthly DVD with all the TD dual cabs taken thru SA to Alice. The GLX-R rated well (higher than Rodeo & Navara) and it looks much better than most of 'em too.

WELL DONE.

TOB,
I just run the standard issue? I asked the question as to whether I should upgrade when I fitted the lights but was told the one that is standard is ok. I have not had a problem yet but I will be carrying 5 batteries and a generator just in case.

I don't think they have any inherent problems from what I have heard.
I want one too by the way ;-).

Have you looked at any of the info here?

I have one and it has now done around 15000.

Goes well tows my 2 tonne van like it isn't there.

Had a computer program upgrade to correct an excessive rattle when the computer was readjusting the parameters. Happens every now and then as the computer resets injection volumes etc.

Much quieter now.

Love it.

Yep, it's a bit on the strange side.

it's amazing though how much interest it has got. I was one of the early purchasers in Aus and I was pulled up by numerous people from 80 years old to 17 years old wanting to crawl all over it. Even had a road construction crew call me up on the radio to ask about it??

The mitsu is strange, the Hilux is just downright, absolutely, straightforward, no bones about it, . . . . . . . UGLY
