Hi All

Owing to time constraints with our business I only have Two Weeks for a short trip,
we are planning on visiting the out laws on Kangaroo Island S.A.,
the trouble is we are going from the Gold Coast via Darwin to Adelaide,
we are flying to Darwin and taking the GHAN to Adelaide, with a couple of stops
on the way, we will hire a vehicle in Darwin and Adelaide see the out laws and fly
home. Has any body travelled on the Ghan, and what was their experience.
the COOK wants to go Gold Kangaroo Class, my problem is I cant lite a fire every
night.

Cheers
Daza

Travelled on the Ghan from Adelaide to Alice, using the Gold Class, with our vehicle on the flat bed behind. A great trip, got to Alice refreshed after a good nights sleep, and meals in the dining car.

Forget the fire and enjoy it.

u won't need a 4wd on KI but u will need a lot more time on KI than u expect, i am curious to know who your are outlaws as KI is home but i don't get there very often now as we have moved back to QLD 8 months ago and am in a similar situation, i miss the ocean fishing as it has been very very good the last few years. My advice would be that u ( i am guessing that u have to see outlaws) if u enjoy the outlaws company i would spend the majority of the time on the island if u have not been there before then next break i would do the other part of the trip and then just catch up with outlaws at the end of the train trip in adelaide or visa versa as both parts of the trip u are doing are great spots and 2 weeks is not very much time to do what u are proposing.
