I have just purchased some after market hinges from ebay as both the front doors are in need of replacement. Has anyone changed theirs and if so was it an easy job to do? I'm no mechanic but give most things a go so i'm hoping this is an easy job to do.

Ok here's how it went. Started Sat morning 11am.
Got 12mm spanner and socket ready. Much cursing and swearing as the lack of room for a man with hands the size of mine proved to be a challenge. Door removed :)
Removed old hinges.(holy sh1t..........how are you supposed to get a spanner in there lol.)
Installed new hinges in marked area. Got my lovely wife to hold the door whilst i bolted it back on.( i recommend not using the wife for this as divorce could become a reality lol) Test time........GRRRRRR Door about an inch too high.
Whilst removing the door again the ratchet on socket lets go and i smash my thumb nail into the hinge and i shout obsenities that people in Victoria would hear.(the dog and the wife decide now is a good time to disappear)
Adjust hinges and bolt door on for the second time. GRRRRRRR door is too low
now.
Remove the door again in such a rage that my neighbour comes over to investigate. He makes a few suggestions and the door goes back on and wow this time is closes albeit still a bit too high but its 4 o'clock now lol so i give up and wait until sunday. The door is also too far back as the rear door cannott be opened lol.
Sunday morning...........remove door and adjust hinges again. BINGO just like a new one and it only took half an hour lol.
Next weekend i can attempt the passenger door lol.

Almost as easy as you mate lol. And my thumb is still sore :((

Hey Brew when I open the drivers door on my GQ you can lift it up and see the hinge pin move a fair bit. How much did you pay for yours, who did you get them from. thanks.
