We received notice of a friend to all, Ian Stabler having been killed in a head on accident on the Kulgera Road. Here is an excerpt from the bulletin. Some friends and I stayed at Mt Dare on the Mon previous and shared some laughs.R.I.P. Ian you will be missed.
It is with a great deal of sadness I have to pass this on, last Tuesday the 3rd of July Ian Stabler one of our staff and friend was killed in a head on accident on the Kulgera rd. He was a great ambassador for the Outback and loved to travel it so much with any spare time, his knowledge, humor and friendly nature will be missed by many.

Please slow down for oncoming traffic and move left as far as safely possible, this may help if something goes wrong.

Sad regards, Dave.

That is just too sad.
He helped me after I MM'd him via EO when i was looking for a couple of mates who had travelled thru there but hadn't contacted me back at home. I was trying to get a fix on where they would be and he confirmed for me that they had passed through after filling up. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I was looking forward to buying him a beer one day.

Thanks for the info Dave
