Can anyone give me a road report from
Cunnamulla to
Coober Pedy via
Thargomindah,
Innamincka, Moomba,
Lyndhurst,
Marree.
We plan to leave next week 4WDs towing campers.
Heading to Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon, do we need to book into
camping grounds before hand.
Thank you

Hickson,
I can give you the info from
Thargomindah to
Innamincka. Came through that way several weeks ago. From
Thargomindah to
the Dig Tree turnoff there is only 70 K's of dirt and another 56 to
Innamincka. Road is in good nick and will not cause any problems.
Regards

The tracks you are taking are all
well graded gravel roads. You will only have issues if wet.
PreBooking campgrounds tends to make a trip too rigid IMO. Many of the
camp grounds you'll use are first in best dressed. So if I want to go to as popular area, I prefer to aim to get there at lunchtime or early afternoon.
