Good Afternoon All

I am currently trying to source a number 1 glow plug relay part number 2861057060.

Toyota no longer stock it which is not surprising given the age of the vehicle. It is a 1985 hj60. Glow plugs have been replaced but need the relay. Does anyone know where I can get one. Currently trying the wreckers but hedging my bets.

Ebay has one on it but I woudl love a new one as it is my sons vehicle.

Any websites known of I could source from?

Many Thanks
Morto

Those old Toyota relays can usually be brought back to life by pulling them apart, and filing the contacts with a points file, or some 400grade wet and dry. Haven't done that to a glow plug relay, but have done it with other relays and switches on the 60series.

Thats great Morto. You're spoiling your son :-))) I know what its like - I look after all of my kids vehicles, and I like them to be 100%. Nothing worse than the phonecall to say its broken down somewhere.

Phil

The bill for the vehicle I can handle but the medical bills from football are more expensive than the car. I actually bought the vehicle for myself to do up and do a bit of bush bashing in but alas as I drove it in the driveway my youngest son said "I like that" And before I could blink it was his.

So far this year we have serviced it, replaced the swivel hubs and serviced the front axle, Painted it, fixed the electrics and new glow plugs & relay all in time for the gearbox (The next project).

Hi Morto

Is that the one with the timer or a straight 60amp relay
98 Troopy
I have a button switch on the dash that l hold for 5 to 10 seconds depending on ambient temp that operates a 60 amp relay feeding the glow plug bus this is fed straight from the battery (fused)

I did exactly the same to my old 60. Absolutely recommended. Saves battery and glow plugs because you never need them if engine is hot.

You could try Don Kyatt's

They list a 2861057100 glow plug relay - worth a try.
