HI All
I have a toshiba pda that I'm hoping to link to a bluetooth gps receiver. Is this a good move and if it works what type of blue tooth receiver would do the job properly and would it sit on the dash under the windscreen.
Can I have your thoughts.
Regards Mal

Sure would, any type of BT GPS would do the trick, there is one for sale in the EO
shop, say hello to Michael, who is Jackie Mk 2 and yes it should sit there happily

Hi Mal
I have a hp with a bluetooth 32 channel gps - got it off ebay - works fine on my pda with tom tom in the city ozi maps a bit small on the pda (maybe I am getting old) and ozi on the laptop in the boondocks - where ever you get your gps suggest you get one with an external antenna - cable length should be 5 metres not less - cant plumb it through firewall otherwise.
Hope this helps

I have a toshiba e800 pda with bluetooth but found that Tosiba use their own bluetooth system and you can find it wont work with certain software because it requires 3 com ports to communicate with the gps unit. The best solution is to get a cf gps with a sd card reader built in so that you don't loose the 2 card capacity.I'm using a Haicom unit and I'm very happy with it, It also has an external aerial connection which is very handy.
