Gday Norm and all
Its good to see shops for us....especially when they are near a spotlight etc. Going to shopping centres is usually painful, but when they put a big outdoors type store in the same complex as a spotlight style store its great. Mum goes into her
shop, and me and the kids go to the camping/fishing
shop. its a win/win in my opinion.
I was in a large store a few months back, son asleep in pram. Crossed paths with another bloke with a kid in pram. A sales bloke aproached at the same time, "can I help you blokes" almost in sterio the both of us, who had never met, come out with " not at the moment thanks, just killing time while the wife is in the scrapbooking shop"......we cracked up.
Cheers Andrew
PS I will add that although I like the range etc in the big
camping shops, the service etc is usually pretty bad. After xmas, buying a new swag, the ones I wanted to look at were still on a pallet in the
shop. After the normal glances to the staff that were walking around, I got the irits, got out the pocket knife and took it to the pallet, unpacked a few, checked a few out, grabbed the one I wanted, and left a mess of plastic and packageing on the floor. All while staff were nearby, without one offer of assistance.
