Hi all,
I have the Great Desert Tracks maps which I use in Ozi Explorer but the gps configuration for the South Central map is all screwed up (a technical term).
I need to replace the configuration part of the file. I have the map but it is not aligned correctly re GPS.
Can anyone email me the file for me to reload please? my email address is casnat at internode.on.net (replacing the "at" of course)
It's only the South Central one I have a problem with. I'm not sure if it is the ".map" file or the ".ozf2" file. I get the map vision on my screen its the co-ords that are out of whack (another tech term).
Thanks in advance
Trev

You should be OK Trevor, those trawlers usually look at the underlying html code for the mailto: keyword. Since Doug's response was not actually a 'hot' link, the trawlers (hopefully) will not reognise it.

Gerry
don't worry about it, Trevor must be one of those paranoids that don't understand how things work, I'm just a dumb old ex truckie and I could see it was an email address , and I'm not a trawler , also the fact I don't think they would waste time looking for Trevors email here, I had my email here in the members section for a while and got no response from it , Reason it's not there now is I have changed server and have not put it back yet , If anything they will get or will have your email address from the day you opened the account, if your server has a spam block as westnet has then nothing gets through, so that's just unjustified worry

G'Day Trev. Seems your problem has been solved. i was having a similar problem a few weeks back and had two version of GDT on my computer, one was calibrated fine, the other was out by several hundred meters for some reason.
PS Got the DVD, thanks.
PPS Doug, words fail me, if someone wants to type their email adress in a particular way then that is their right for whatever reason they choose to do so, for you to change it shows what an ignorant old sod you are.

Cheers Pat,
Hope your trip to
the Painted Desert was a good one. Can't wait to be off across the Simpson 1st week of August! Not sure yet whether we will head up the bitumen to
Coober Pedy or up the
Oodnadatta track via
William Creek yet. If we go via
Coober Pedy I will have a look at
the Painted Desert on the way from there to
Oodnadatta. I assume it's worth a look?
Just out of interest, I took my 2 kids and a couple of their friends up to
Morgan on Saturday. It's amazing how the tracks change in a short period of time. You recall
the spot where we descended into a sandy bowl on a cut-out with big holes and caused lots of wheel lift then there was lots of fun getting up another sandy climb with some big holes?
Well this time I got hung up on the one coming down, sitting on my side steps with diagonally opposed
wheels off the ground. Lightenned the load by 4 kids and rear locker solved the problem. Haven't been game to look underneath yet though!
Last time I didn't have a go at the climb out but decided to this time. You will recall the time you were there it required a significant run up. Managed it without a run up at all! I could say it was driver skill but probably just a bit damp or something.
All good fun
Trev
