Howdy all,
Looking for a bit of advice, have been offered a set of bucket seats out of GXL 80ser for $660 to go in my poverty pack 80 ser, going down to have first look this morning.
Is this a fair price if they are in good condition?
Has anyone else been down this track, how did you find the comfort?
Are there other options without spending a squillion $ ?
Thanks indvance for any feedback that may come my way.
Regards
Franga

Franga,
Just to compare, I got a set of GXK buckets from a 100 series for my 105 pov pack from a wrecker (who are notoriously expensive compared to the private market, here in melb) for $550. They were in reasonable nick, with the pass
seat hardly used, but the drivers had a crack in the vinyl on the side of the
seat and the bottom cushion was a little flat. Local auto trimmer charged $150 to fix the drivers
seat (replaced vinyl section and added some padding to the bottom cushion), so for $650 a very good set. Remember this was from a later model, so the 80 series should be a little cheaper I would guess, depending upon where you are....
Hope this is a reasonable comparison...
Cheers
Mark
Ps Mate of
mine bought a pass side 80 series bucket recently for $150 and $50 for the console.

I too paid $550 from wreckers. I think $660 is a fair price if in good condition. Are these from a friend? Do you know their history? The driver's
seat I bought was twisted, I think it came from a vehicle that had been in a crash. I primarily bought them so the wife didn't have to sit on that crappy 3/4
seat.
As for comfort, I didn't find the driver's
seat any more comfortable; it's the same shape just with cloth trim.
