Hi there
Do any of you lot sell / Trade or swap your audio books ???There is no mention of this in Trader section !
I reckon it would be great for the kid's to be entertained on those long-haul day's still looking out the windows and not at a screen ???
Any one with advice or opinion, and can point me in a direction on where I can buy for 11 & 9 y.o boys.
Thanks

I spy works well except when the younguns can't spell or pronounce properly. We were left guessing for ages when my sister (many moons ago) had us stumped on the letter "T" it turned out to be the "Ticker" you know the rego ticker...still confused.... The rego Sticker might make it a bit easier for you LOL!!!

Still love useing "I spy" with my family now.
Regards, Trevor.

Educational booksellers like Scholastic or the ABC shop might have them. Chris.

Rip64,

If you are going for less than 1 month you can borrow them from your local library.

They have CD's and tapes for all ages in the kids section.

If you plan ahead you can even search the libraries catalogue and reserve audio books - well you can in Melbourne.

My boys aged 7 & 9 borrow these on a regular basis anything from Harry Potter to Paul Jennings to Famous Five - loads to choose from.

Hope this helps.

p.s. just had a thought - if you do borrow them and you are going for longer than a month you can always ring up and extend/reborrow the audio books. I wouldn't do this if you where going for 3 months or more, though.

Mr Rip ,

I have a number of talking books to swap with you.
Karl Hiaasen "Hoot"
Karl Hiaasen "Basket Case"
Karl Hiaasen "Tourist Season"
Karl Hiaasen "Nature Girl"
Peter Fitzsimmons "Tobruk"
Dr Who - "The Feast of the drowned"
Robert Jordan"The Wheel of Time Series ( first five books ).

The Hiaasen books are really funny.

Let me know if you want to swap many .

I returned last night from an 11,500 klm WA trip last night . The journey over and back was made considerably more enjoyable by these books .

Put a free wanted / swap ad in the Trader Section on this site .

Cheers Willie

Rip64,
In the ACT we can download audio books from the library for free.
I put them on our portable MP3 player and play them through our in car system.
They have a fairly good range with a lot of the old comedy favorites.
Give your local library a go.
