I am trying to find 2nd hand replacement parts for the Electric Mirrors on a Toyota L/C '91 Turbo Diesel .

Non of the Toyota wreckers have any in stock here in Perth.

Preferably in Perth WA but Melbourne or Brisbane OK also

best of luck and OUCH !

A mate of mine went through a similar ordeal last year and as yet I think it is still unresolved.

Isn't there a mob in Perth called just toyota wreckers ?

George,

I wish you luck! They're like hens teeth. I couldn't find anyone anywhere that had anything to do with the L/C mirrors and ended up buying a complete new unit - you can't buy the parts separately (not even just the motor and glass - you have to buy the shroud as well). Cost just over $300.

Let me know if you have any joy finding someone who can supply them - I could still do with a few bits to make my broken one into a full spare.

Steve

Thanks Steve,
Pretty expensive items, that's why I am trying for 2nd hand

Toyota's must be good cars, not many finish up at the wreckers

Cheers

Hi george. Had the same dilema last year. The best price I found for a new replacement mirror was from Toyo wreck in South Ausi. Freecall 1800645937. They were $100 cheaper than the best price that I could find here in W.A. Freight was also cheap and the next day. It turned out cheaper to buy a new one than buy one from a wrecker.

found this ad in lancruisers on lone (lool) old ad but worth a try.

FOR SALE 3/12/02
I have a like new Drives side power mirror for sale, It fits a 40th Anniversary Edition Cruiser with paint code ( 1B2 ) Gray Mica part # 87940-60690-B0
I'm sure you could paint it any color you need or I think some guys take them apart and use the motor and stuff once the mirror starts shaking going down the road.
I'm asking $45.00 plus shipping
