Hi Julio,
I bought a Rezi for my van mainly for the shower unit. I found out afterwards that it cannot be installed in a position that may be subject to water ingress as it is open at the back. My solution was to install it in the cupboard next to the shower wall and run stainless braided lines to it. As far as it's function goes, it works well. It needs 15 amp supply but you should already have this in your van but it will need it's own circuit. See your friendly sparky for assistance.
I then stumbled across a unit called RV Hot water. It has a lower power consumption and can be subjected to wetter operation, however it is not intended to be immersed.
This unit (RV HW) look just like a "flick mixer" with a pregnant base. All the operations go on in the base and looks very neat.

Summary....
Both units work well.
The Rezi comes complete with two taps directly mounted to the base of the unit and has provision for a shower head as an accessory using a push button divertor supplied. It needs to be remotely mounted for shower use or can be mounted above a sink but looks a bit commercial in that use. There is a delay when you turn on the hot tap but you get instant heat with the first dribble. The price was about $240 or so plus $38 for the shower head and lead.

The RV HW is completely self contained and looks and works like a flick mixer. It works like a kettle in that it has an immersible element and operates instantly. It has a lower power draw for the heat/water volume. I can easily run it from my 2kva Honda. It looks the better of the two and is also cheaper ($179 when I bought it a couple of months ago $199 list price). This is the unit I am using for the shower. I have replaced the spout with a home made fitting to accept standard shower hoses.

I am now using the Rezi as a replacement instant hot water system for our photographic processing lab. It works a treat there as an over the sink setup. This has replaced a very tired Bosch commercial unit.

In both cases, there are varying models to choose from. Both need mains power or equivalent but are much cheaper and much smaller than a gas/electric storage system. They should also last longer due to design.

Hope that helps.

Cheers Cam.
