Hi Guys, I have been looking for a camper that I can put on my F250 xtra cab tray back. I want some thing that doesnt go over the cab that would be similar to a camper trailer with the
wheels taken off, with a roof top tent. Is there any such thing or would we have to get it custom made and if we did would any one recommend any one around Bunbury ,
Busselton area.

Kazz,
I don't know of a camper unit off the shelf, we had a custom made unit from Metal Form Industries in Warragul, Victoria. See my rig photos under Members.

I would be looking at the Candy Canvas Carry-me camper. They do several sizes and you would be looking at the full size model.
We have one (mounted on a trailer) and they are great. Comfy to sleep in, quick to put up and down, lots of dry secure storage space inside.
Candy are in South East South Australia.
Cheers

Kazz44,
I think Coota Campers in Cootamundra were thinking about a tray camper as they have a F250 for the business. They were talking about having the same set up as the trailer mounted campers.

I had my offroad trailer custom made by them and was very happy with the result.

Try Adventure Campers at Edwardstown in SA, they have a F250 with camper as their demo unit with plenty of pics on their website

Can't help you with the brand, but I saw one at the
Birdsville races last year. Canvas tent type camper that folded back off the tray with a hard floor that came down to ground level behind the tray. Similar to the CUB Camper setup.

Hi Kazz
Check out John R (Vic) & Moses rig pics for his old set up. His was not a bad set up but it was heavier than the carryme as mentioned above. An original design (before I met Muddy) also worked out heavier, that is why I went the carryme. If you google you should come up with some similar ones on the market.

Saw a 'Rollavan' on an F250 on
Googs track last year. Worth looking at cos its from WA. However, one I'm saw went over cab - perhaps they have one that doesn't. Couple who owned it were very proud of it. They got to Googs via Anne Beadell Hwy so it was doing 'the stuff'. Details I can find are:

Cant access website though.
best wishes
